What is REO Property Preservation?
When a home is foreclosed on, the bank sells the property at auction to recoup its losses. These properties are most frequently purchased by real estate agencies. "REO" stands for "real estate owned." After the agency purchases a foreclosed home and assigns a broker to the property, the broker hires companies like ours to facilitate getting the home ready for market. We then work with the broker until the home is sold to ensure the property stays in marketable condition.
