Grass cut FAQs
The weather is too bad to complete exterior work. What should I do?
If the weather is going to delay the cut beyond the due date, provide a commit date in PPW and be sure to note that the cut will be late due to weather concerns.

It's not raining, but the yard is too wet to mow. What should I do?
Mow around wet areas when possible. Complete all other work at the property, including edging, shrub trimming, debris removal, and weed eating. Invoice the grass cut as usual, but in the comments section, please note that it was too wet to mow.

How much debris am I required to remove on a grass cut?
Remove up to 1 Cubic Yard of fallen limbs. If more than that has fallen since your last cut, submit a bid to remove. However, you must remove all leaves/trimmings from the property.

How can I make additional money on a grass cut?
- Shrub trimming can raise your profit by 50%. If the shrubs are uneven or impeding the walkway, please complete a shrub trim. If the shrubs show excessive growth, call for approval for additional funds.
- Remove bags of leaves and debris. We pay per bag removed.
- Measure the grass prior to cutting. If 75% of the property has grass taller than 12", you may invoice an additional $10/foot.
What should I do if I'm assigned cuts out of my coverage area?
It's important that you clearly define your coverage area when you begin working with NorthPro. If you find you're consistently receiving cuts outside your area, check with Mary or Stephanie to be sure we have your area recorded correctly. You are required to complete any cuts assigned to you if they fall within your coverage area.
If the cut is outside your area, you may request reassignment at no penalty. You may also request a trip charge to travel out of your zone. If you accept the work, you must complete it just like any other cut, but you will invoice for the approved trip charge.
